    Rules

    Before you jump in, take a moment to read our rules! Understanding them will help you avoid misunderstandings, prevent unwanted trouble, and make sure your time here is fun for everyone.

    We do NOT differentiate between joking, playful, etc. connotations. Please be mindful of your actions, what you say, and what you joke about.

    The staff team has the final say as to what breaks or doesn't break a rule.

    Harassment on other servers associated with Cobblemon Islands players will result in punishment on the server (this includes DMs, other Discord servers, calls, etc.)

    General Rules

    • • Respect the decisions of staff. If you disagree, appeal calmly and create a ticket privately.
    • • Don't impersonate another player or staff member!
    • • It is against the rules to advertise another server, Discord, or website not related to CI.
    • • BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL PLAYERS.
    • • HARASSMENT AND BULLYING HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE.
    • • Listen to and do not disrespect staff. (Staff is defined as anyone with a rank placed above "Warlord", this includes Helpers.)
    • • Do NOT use NSFW/derogatory words in in-game name, nicknames, in-game skins, Discord names, and anywhere in your Discord profile.
    • • Building, destroying, creating claims, or doing unusual things is strictly prohibited in the spawn area of each realm (around 0 0 0 / default respawn point).
    • • Staff plushies are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
    Important: If a player's actions are clearly designed to bypass the spirit of these rules, even if not explicitly listed, staff reserve the right to take action. All rule updates will be announced in Discord with their effective date.

    Chat Rules

    • • ZERO TOLERANCE towards harassment/bullying, controversial topics, insulting comments, dogpiling, threats, doxxing, spreading rumors, stalking, and continued contact after being told to stop.
    • • Keep PEACE in public chat. Disrupting peace will result in a temporary mute (provocative posting, arguing, toxic comments, rage-baiting, fake announcements).
    • • ZERO slurs allowed.
    • • No repeatedly asking or begging for free items/Pokémon.
    • • NSFW content and explicit language are NOT allowed.
    • • Keep chat PG-13. Swearing is allowed minimally.
    • • No controversial topics. Keep conversations game-related.
    • • Do NOT broadcast exploits/bugs in public chat. Open a ticket or message staff.
    • • PUBLIC CHAT IS ENGLISH ONLY.
    • • No spamming of any kind.
    • • ZERO tolerance of KYS/KMS language or "self-harm jokes".
    • • ZERO tolerance of life-threatening comments (includes in-game DMs, Discord, and Discord DMs).

    Voice Chat Rules

    • • All chat rules apply equally to voice chat.
    • • Soundboard spam is not allowed.
    • • Avoid sounds that disrupt communication (loud music, distorted noises, bass-boosted sounds, screaming, high-pitched tones).
    • • Swearing is allowed minimally.
    • • Music with explicit lyrics or NSFW topics is prohibited.

    Chat & Voice Punishments

    minor
    • 1st: Verbal warning
    • 2nd: Up to 2 warnings
    • 3rd+: 3hr → 6hr → 12hr → 24hr mute
    hefty
    • 1st: Warning + 1 day mute
    • 2nd: 3-day mute
    • 3rd: 7-day mute
    • 4th+: 2-week mute + temp ban (ban scale)
    major
    • 1st: Minimum 2-week mute
    • 2nd: Minimum 1-month mute
    • 3rd+: Ban scaling
    • May be escalated directly to Ban Scale at staff discretion.
    Mute Evasion: Attempting to avoid a mute will result in a harsher punishment. This includes: posting/commenting on CI Discord, voice chat, using an alt account, communicating from another player's account, using signs or books in-game. In-game DMs count as evasion; Discord DMs do not.

    Game Rules

    • • No mods or third-party software that gives an unfair advantage (x-ray, autoclickers, macros, automated scripts).
    • • ZERO EXPLOITING: enderpearl clipping, entity cramming, exploiting glitches/bugs, duping or association with dupers.
    • • Zero Harassment: killing without permission, stalking, teleport trapping, spam teleport requests.
    • • You are allowed to use ONE alternate account. Alts cannot participate in Game Events.
    • • Casinos are allowed but odds must be visible to everyone. Internal mechanism must match stated odds.
    • • Player-bound items may not be sold, traded, or transferred.
    • • Selling fake/misleading items is strictly prohibited.
    • • No exploiting /gts misclicks with overpriced items.
    • • No selling "mystery packs" on /gts or auctions (transparent mystery items like skin collections are permitted).
    • • Do not spam-throw Pokémon near users or in public areas.
    • • Inappropriate/NSFW builds are not allowed.
    • • Raids: don't discard items during raids, don't use large Pokémon to block other players from entering.

    Claims, Grief & Stealing

    • • No griefing or stealing in claimed areas, or areas that appear player-created.
    • • Keep claims at least 200 blocks away from another player's claim.
    • • Avoid claiming areas without intention to build.
    • • Avoid altering terrain unless you intend to build there.

    Abandoned Claims Removal

    • Immediate: Near another player's base OR empty claim reserving space.
    • After 2+ months: Unused or small builds with non-valuable items.
    • After 4+ months: No activity, even with big builds (staff will try to contact the player first).

    Grief Severity

    Minor Grief

    Common items, small damage (door/window). 1 day to 2 weeks ban.

    Medium Grief

    Uncommon items, medium damage (walls broken, furniture taken). 7 days to 1 month ban.

    Mass Grief

    Rare/exclusive items, massive destruction. 1 month to 6 months ban.

    If the violation is over 60 days old, the punishment may be lighter.

    Farm Rules

    • • Auto farms: Must not exceed 10,000 total block volume. Any farm using redstone, observers, pistons, water flows, or entity movement counts as auto.
    • • Manual farms: Must not exceed 100,000 total volume. No minecarts, no hoppers under the farm. Single layer of hoppers permitted around perimeter only.
    • • Volume is calculated across all farms owned by a player across all realms (including alt accounts).
    • • Players may use ONE auto farm owned by another player.
    • • Farms by multiple players in a shared area must be separated by 12 chunks (192 blocks).
    • • No mob drop farms (iron farms are the exception, within the 10k auto limit).
    • • No AFK timer bypass builds.
    • • Redstone clocks must be disabled when owner is offline.
    • • No 0-tick machines, flying machines, lag machines, TNT machines, chunk loaders.
    Farm Violations: Players who gain economic advantage from illegal farms may face partial/full balance wipe, removal of produced items, and farm removal or downsizing.

    Trades & Deals

    • • Real Money Trading through Gift Cards is prohibited. Exchanging items/services for GC is not allowed; exchanging shop items is allowed.
    • • Trading in-game items/currency for services outside of CI is prohibited. Personal commissions for Minecraft assets are allowed if paid with in-game currency.
    • • Loan profits are prohibited. No fees, interest, or profit margins beyond set price/market value.
    • • Failure to honor a loan = treated as a scam.
    • • Service deals (building, terraforming, shiny hunting, expeditions) follow the same regulations as item/Pokémon deals.
    • • Time-framed agreements must be supported by screenshot evidence. Both parties must confirm terms in the same chat log.
    • • Contracts are prohibited. No written/digital documents to formalize transactions.

    Ranked

    • • Win trading is strictly prohibited. This includes intentional agreements to manipulate battles/rankings, using alts to battle yourself, and intentionally forfeiting.
    • • Battles must follow both the base Smogon ruleset and the CI server ruleset.
    • • Queue dodging or intentionally abandoning a match to avoid a loss is prohibited.

    Game Punishments

    • 1st: 3-day ban
    • 2nd+: Ban scaling
    major
    • 1st: Ban scaling starting at level E (3 months)

    For harassment and griefing, punishments are based on severity, not ban scaling. Staff will investigate, gather info, and determine a suitable punishment (minimum 15-day ban for harassment). Punishments may be modified at the discretion of Admins and Management.
